I am 4 days late with my May Monthly Goals post! Eek! But I am sure you can relate that these past few months have been a major bleh and boo. I feel like the covid-19 lockdown has not only slowed us down, but also pushed us backward, or behind. You get it?!
I was going to skip writing May monthly goals but I do have some things I’d like to work on this month so I thought I would just suck it up and share it with you all 😉
But first, let’s see how April did!
April Monthly Goals Revisited
Do one playful activity with the girls daily – their choice. – Done! My girls and I [though they frustrated me from all their arguing and mess-making], had a great time reading, playing indoor games, coloring [Arya can now color inside the lines perfectly! *tears*], painting, and best of all binge watching The Good Dinosaur, Frozen 1 & 2, Moana, and a few other favorite movies.
Cook at least one new recipe this month. – Done! I actually baked several desserts changing the recipe to my liking, and made several pasta dishes again with changes in ingredients and using what I normally don’t.
Continue my low sugar diet going. – Done with some bad days! This is seriously difficult, but I tried my best to drink more lemon water whenever I had sugar cravings. And I use low sugared creamer for my coffee, and also switched out brown sugar to honey in my daily tea. These changes have become a part of my daily routine so I am sure I will continue them.
Purge my closet [honestly, I don’t hoard stuff because I donate/toss things frequently]. – Not done! I tidied things up but did not take everything out to purge etc. I did do some major purging in my girls’ closet though. Yay!
Do some exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. – Done with some missed days! 😊
May Monthly Goals
Plan some at-home summer activities for the girls.
Finish spring cleaning / purging of my closet, toys, and books.
Purchase books for my PM and MIS classes.
Figure out how to do podcasts – I want to read my blog into podcasts for viewers who would prefer to hear it vs. read it.
Up the smoothie game and freeze more healthy desserts.
Continue doing some form of exercise daily – treadmill, yoga.
Deliver my mom’s Mother’s Day gift [sadly without contact ☹] and do something nice for my mother-in-law 😊
