New Year’s resolutions are a great way to initiate positive changes into your life. The beginning of a New Year is filed with PROMISE and ENERGY, and they may be just the boost you need to make a change.
About 40% of the Americans make New Year resolutions each year. Whether it’s getting to the gym, or creating a morning routine, or start saving money, New Year always seems like the right time to hit a reset button in our lives and CREATE that NEW YOU!
Despite the good intentions, statistics show that only about 8% of people achieve their New Year’s resolutions.
Well, there are several reasons why we fail at them?
Our goals aren’t clear and easy to track.
We feel discouraged or lack motivation (within or in your environment).
Not true to ourselves when you set the goals.
Not truly ready for a change.
We are unrealistic or we underestimate the time and effort it will take to achieve the resolutions.
And the list could go on…!
My husband and I make a few New Year’s resolutions every year, but we all know that setting them is easier than the execution. Sometimes we get a few things checked off but other times, by spring time every excuse in the book gets in the way of our New Year’s resolution.
So, this time we have decided to take a step back and analyze our goals for next year; for us and our girls.
AND, we are going to start small! For example, hitting the gym WILL NOT be on the list :); walking our girls to the park every Saturday will be!
What about you? Are you ready to start the next chapter of your life with the upcoming New Year?
