My name is Ashna and I am a mother of 2 girls, working my butt off to balance a full-time corporate job and family/home life. My husband and I have been married for about 7 years and we live with my in-laws in Northern California. Before my oldest was born, I started doing my corporate job from home, and have been doing that ever since.
Working from home is great and convenient, but it can be exhausting and challenging. I do my office work, take care of my kids and their needs, do preschool drop offs and pickups, cook, and clean, and I am still breastfeeding my youngest (22 months). Eek!!
Even though I could venture out and work out in the office, I plan to stay put until my youngest starts going to preschool. That way I won’t have to rely on anyone for babysitting and helping me raise my girls.
Purpose & Mission for this Blog
Hacking Through Life is a lifestyle and personal growth blog for women/moms.
- I am not perfect; I am struggling to balance work and family life.
- I sometimes hate the responsibilities of being a mom of 2 amazing and beautiful girls.
- My husband and I struggle to maintain our marriage and intimacy with each other.
- I live with in-laws and with the lack of privacy and space, it’s a constant battle.
- I am tired and I often feel like a bad mother and wife.
In 2017, after losing my father and a baby within weeks of each other, I was spiraling in a dark abyss. Then later that year we got pregnant again but it started off very rocky, and Google became my best friend. Like any worried-mother, I would look for stories from other moms, or some sort of encouragement that would tell me that everything will be fine in the end.
It was then when I decided to start my blog and share my own story. I believed that another mom-to-be out there could take comfort in it and find some inspiration and courage to belief that things will work out for the best. You can find more about my experience here.
We are all doing the best we can:
