As a mom of a new baby, trying to pack a diaper bag can be a bit intimidating.
Bringing the new baby out for the first time is scary on its own, but what to bring along is even scarier. Trust me, I know!
How much to pack? Will I be sufficiently prepared? What if this happened, or that?
When I had my eldest, I was a hoarder. My diaper bag was like a mini suitcase – well not really – but the number of things I would carry was ridiculous.
I would pack for every scenario!
Now I am sure you must be thinking that it is a good thing to pack like that.
But I mean, do I really need to if I am just going shopping for what might be only 1 hour? And I live only 15 minutes away from all the buzz?
So now with my second baby, I have decided to tone it down, both the size of the diaper bag and the number of things I carry 😊
First let me say that I am a comfort over style mom.
The diaper bag I used with my oldest was a Skip Hop Diaper bag. It was spacious with wipe-clean fabric and a cross-body strap. I loved it and I still use it when I need several bags for a trip.
And I was right! This is a great bag, with 7 compartments and it fits everything I need.
So here you go, the things I keep in my diaper bag.
This checklist is only for newborns or bubs between 0-3 months. As they age, the items in the bag changes according to their needs.
What’s in my Diaper Bag (0-3 months)
